MTNL( Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited ) Delhi has started new cost effective way of tv viewing and now mtnl users can watch tv channels on their televisions with MTNL'S IPTV(Internet Protocol TV ) service . Internet Protocol TV software was soft launched on 17-10-2006 and now it is working .

More details about registration and offers :-

1. Registration charges : Rs. 500/- (non-refundable and it will be adjusted in first telephone bill )
2. For security and monthly service charges for the set Top Box (STB), three options are available:

a. Life time : Rental : Rs 3000 and Security : Rs 0 (NIL)
b. Yearly : Rental : Rs 860 and Security : Rs 1000
c. Quarterly : Rental : Rs 250 and Security : Rs 2000

3. Monthly charges for TV channels :

a. Rs 60 for 30 FTA( Free To Air) Channels .
b. Rs 130 for 30 FTA( Free To Air) Channels + any 1 bouquet of Sony TV , Star TV or Zee TV .
c. Rs 200 for 30 FTA( Free To Air) Channels + any 2 bouquet of Sony TV , Star TV or Zee TV .
d. Rs 250 for 30 FTA( Free To Air) Channels + any 3 bouquet of Sony TV , Star TV or Zee TV .

4. Video On Demand : Rs 30/- Per month . One more option is their which divides other 5 VOD content categories like : A: Rs10 ; Category B: Rs20 ; Category C: Rs30 & Category D: Rs100 and premium of movie : Rs200/- . I think these rates are for special Video On demand orders .
